In June, I spent nine days in St Louis, Missouri, serving as a commissioner to the 223rd General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The Assembly took dozens of actions that will impact our church and we hope, our world, in the weeks and months and years ahead.
This month, worship will center on readings from the New Testament book of James. James is short and sometimes sweet, offering the community very specific directions ideas for living out the life of faith. It’s difficult to read James and not notice something that might need to change.
